Consists of two types of indexes for the Annual Reports. The first index covers the following topics: duties and powers of boards; Board of Home Missions; and Board of Trustees. These topical indexes are followed by an additional index which encompasses the broad headings of church affairs, education, home missions, foreign missions, finances, publications and pensions. There is also a "Decimal Classification Plan" of the Annual Reports of the Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1917-1954. The classification and card indexing was done by the Rev. Olaf Morgan Norlie.
